It's been a few days, so here's a brief account of what we've been up to.
Our ride from Whitehorse to Skagway was amazing! The road was perfect and the views were even better!
We got to see lots of Bear and cubs along the way. We didn't get to close though!

We got to Skagway and quickly found the Harley Store. The streets were filled with folks from the 4 gigantic cruise ships in port and as soon as they left, the streets were empty!

We spent 2 days relaxing in Skagway and on Thursday morning we were ready to take the Ferry.

It's a state run system that works amazingly well! The Alaska Marine Highway.
We quickly made friends with the other motorcyclists.

We ended up hanging out with Mark for most of the trip. He was on a Triumph and from Quebec.

We ended up strapping our bikes next to each other.
The cabin that Jono got for us was perfect. It had 3 beds so neither one of us had to attempt to climb up to the top bunk. Jono kept saying "Hell, this is just like the jail accommodations!"
(Disclaimer: He doesn't know from personal experience...just from the job!)

Some passengers choose to not get one of the 109 cabins on board, but instead use the lounge chairs under heat lamps to sleep. Showers, lockers and bathrooms are provided for them.
It's amazing who actually sleeps on that deck...all different types from young adults to older folks trying to save some money.
There's cafeteria style restaurant on board....just like a cruise, except you have to pay for it.

The weather was quite nice on one of the 3 days we were on board. Shirt sleeve weather and sunny.

There were a few stops along the way on the ferry. Stopping in various ports and letting people/cars off and other back on. Our stop in Juneau was 6 hours, so we shared a cab and headed from the ferry to the downtown area. We stopped in at the local Saloon for a few drinks and had a yummy dinner outside on the harbor
We found the patch that Steiner left in the Red Dog Saloon a while back. It was quite a chore as there were hundreds and hundreds of patches!
Back on the Ferry....The dining area
We sailed the next day making a few more stops and finally made it to Prince Rupert.
Where we untied all the bikes and headed through customs to our hotel in Prince Rupert.
Our room from the top floor has a view of the Harbor and Bay. We love the balcony!

That's it for today. Tomorrow we head to Smithers.
