Travelled back to Tok

We headed back to Tok, Alaska as it's the easiest way for us to eventually get to Skagway by Wednesday.  Most of the road are pretty crappy here....filled with giant cracks or pot holes (they call them ice heaves), gravel, packed dirt or road construction.

We waved goodbye to Santa and his place in the North Pole

We stopped along the way to take in the absolute beauty of this state and to take pics.

We caught a Moose and her calf near the river

We stopped in Delta Junction for gas and met another rider from Michigan pulling a trailer almost like ours...just much smaller.   He was traveling by himself and we ended up having lunch with him.   It's always interesting meeting folks from all over.

We finished up and went on our way.
We met another lovely couple in their 70s who have been on the road traveling around for 4 years in a camper.   They were having the best time!

The temps today were about 70 degrees and delightful!

We pulled into Tok and headed back to the Burnt Paw Cabins.  This time we were staying in the "Hunters" cabin.

I was a little worried until I walked into the cabin and found the most adorable stuffed animals and fabric rifle on the walls.

This is the view from the bed.   Across the bike to the puppies.  :-)

Next stop is Whitehorse...it should be a long day.
