Fairbanks for the day!

The weather was not that great and we wanted to go to Denali National Park...so we rented a fun car for the day

More strange stuff along the way

We couldn't resist stopping at Skinny Dick's     What a dive.

There must have been 10,000 dollar bills on the walls and ceiling.  Crazy.

 The outside was just as insane as the inside.
We didn't stay long!

The weather was getting darker, but still beautiful!

We stopped for lunch at a local place, The Clear Sky Lodge, hoping that it would clear the skies for us...It did for a bit!

The place was jumping!

 We continued towards Denali making a few stops along the way

On the way back to Fairbanks, we noticed a lodge up at the top of a mountain.   Of course we headed up there and found a lovely gigantic hotel with the most amazing views

This is always a great draw to hike in the area

Then the skies got darker and it poured.  We were oh so happy to be in the car!

We made it back to our hotel in time for the hail.

We found a cool place for dinner....Pike's Landing and this is what I found in their parking lot.  

Looks a bit too familiar

We'll still be here tomorrow.
